Extra Learning Opportunities (ELOs)
I don't offer "extra credit" but what I do offer is "ELOs" as a way to discern if a grade is "on the bubble" if it MIGHT be reasonable to be moved up. If a student has done several ELOs, I can potentially justify the "bump" because they have due to the extra relevant work they've done (above and beyond). Typically, this is a MINOR adjustment (hundredths of a percent) and not a significant change to the grade percentage. I DO RESERVE THE RIGHT TO MAKE THE FINAL DECISION ON MATTERS OF ELOs AND GRADES. If this becomes an issue, it can go away and there will be NO adjustments.
